Sound Energy Progresses in Eastern Morocco

Connect with us:

Moroccan focused upstream gas company Sound Energy has received Environmental Impact Assessment approval and land corridor rights in respect to the Tendrara Gas Export Pipeline (TGEP).

Sound Energy will build a proposed gas treatment plant and compression station, including the option for gas liquefaction, which will comprise phase 1 of the project, with the TGEP led full field development of the Concession following as phase 2.

The company also reports that following negotiations with the Ministry of the Interior and the Forestry, it has obtained formal land access permits. Sound Energy now plans to further negotiate with the ministry on the tariff for land access.

For Sound Energy these are significant milestones, as they proceed to a final investment decision for each phase of the concession area and ultimate monetization of the assets in Eastern Morocco.
