International drilling contractor Shelf Drilling has been awarded a 12-month contract extension for its Shelf Drilling Tenacious jack-up rig offshore Angola.
The Dubai-based firm had already secured one extension last November, which extended the contract through November 2023, with a one-year option. The rig’s contract will now continue through November 2024.
Operating in water depths up to 375 feet, the drilling rig has been in operation for the Cabinda Gulf Oil Company Limited in Angola since January 2022.
