Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) has reported multiple oil discoveries at its Congo-based Tilapia well.
A Schlumberger wireline logging of the well has confirmed 44m of oil column, surpassing company expectations.
“Subject to the results of flow testing, the well has the potential to provide AAOG with a major step-up in production and cash flow and marks an excellent start to the Tilapia field development program,” CEO David Sefton said.
AAOG predicts that the TLP-101 well could yield up to 400 barrels of oil per day.
The company stated that it will recommence drilling operations at TLP-103C, targeting the deeper Djeno horizon.
