Vienna, June 19, 2018 — Prince Arthur Eze, Chairman of Oranto Petroleum and its sister company Atlas Petroleum, met today with the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), H.E. Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo, pledging the company’s support to the Declaration of Cooperation and the continued stability of the oil markets.
“The Declaration of Cooperation has restored stability in the oil markets, and effectively opened the doors for investment in the sector to begin again,” said Eze. “There is no doubt that that the Declaration of Cooperation saved the oil sector from imminent collapse, and production companies like Oranto are focused on supporting OPEC’s efforts in any way we can.”
During the meeting, Eze congratulated H.E. Mohammed Sanusi Barkindo on Africa Oil Man of the Year Award, which will be presented at Africa Oil & Power in Cape Town from September 5-7.
Oranto Petroleum, with its sister company Atlas Petroleum International, holds more acreage than any other African independent.
